Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase

This is in karmic. Since today's updates, some kde apps take a very long time to launch (from 30 seconds to more than 2 minutes). During that time, there is no disk activity, and the CPU is mostly idle. They also sometimes take forever to close.
Apps that have the problem: Kate, Dolphin, Konqueror, Kopete
Apps that do not have the problem: Konsole, Okular, System settings, krdc

At some point, when launching an app that has the problem from a terminal, I saw something about a Nepomuk service that could not be reached, unfortunately I cannot reproduce it anymore.
