Bug Description
Please use a more universal, robust way of naming the system:/media/ entries.
My confusing case :
The are 2 instances of / dir in system:/media/. One is actuall Dappers root dir, the other is a partiotion labeled "/ " by my Breezy instalatoin on the same box. Confusing.
My windows partition is described as some "10G Media". What the heck is that? Ah, my windoows on sda1. Why am I forced to guess this?
The other partition is displayed with it's label name "/home". It is labeled so as it is a HOME partition of my Breezy instalation on the box. But obviously I have Dappers home somewhere else. Missleading.
I bet a newbie would get puzzled a lot.
Please don't use partitions labels for HDDs description. Rather their device names. hda1, sda2, etc. That'd be robust and clear.
Note that you can rename them yourself if you want.
I don't know if media:/ (and system:/media) originally takes the names from the mount point or from the label on the drive, but ubuntu makes the mount point the label on the drive anyways so it'd be the same. So, by the information it has to go on, konqueror can not tell your breezy partition apart from your dapper partition. It's somewhat confusing, but a newbie probably won't have multiple / partitions anyways. If you'd like cfdisk during install to label the drives differently, please file a separate bug for that (I'm not sure for what package, but it's not kde/konqueror related), but IMO the mount point is a good label and that is unlikely to be changed.
Also, your title makes the bug sound much more serious than it is considering that system:/media is a mess in more dire ways (http:// bugs.kde. org/simple_ search. cgi?id= media%3A% 2F&openonly= 1)
