Bug Description

system:/ and specifically system:/home have lots of issues in KDE 3.5.2. Unfortunately Kubuntu uses system:/home by default instead of /home/user when "Home" is opened through the System-Menu.
The System-Menu is the only place that enables access to "Home", so this will be what most users will be using 90% of the time.

The issues that system:/home has include but are not limited to these:

system:/home shows redundant information in taskbar and current tab
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125747

system:/home won't play in amaroK
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125746

system:/home kio slave always changes view mode
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=125744

system:/ kio-slave in KDE 3.5 needs some work
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117524

I can only suggest to get rid of system:/home for Kubuntu dapper. This is not the way their filesystem should be presented to the users by default. They will be using non-KDE applications as well, so this has to be fixed.
