Bug Description

The crash is reproducable 100% of the time for me. To reproduce the bug:
- Highlight any text (can be empty lines from a brand new konsole session)
- Drag the selection over a Firefox window. The mouse cursor will change to a drag/box cursor with a plus sign.
- A half-second later Konsole will crash (I also see the cursor flicker to a red slashed circle). It is not necessary to release the mouse button--simply going over a firefox window is enough.

Description: Ubuntu 8.10
Release: 8.10

konsole:
  Installed: 4:4.1.3-0ubuntu1~intrepid1
  Candidate: 4:4.1.3-0ubuntu1~intrepid1
  Version table:
 *** 4:4.1.3-0ubuntu1~intrepid1 0
        500 http://mirror.anl.gov intrepid-updates/main Packages
        500 http://archive.ubuntu.com intrepid-backports/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     4:4.1.2-0ubuntu4 0
        500 http://mirror.anl.gov intrepid/main Packages

The error is a double-free (shows up as a "glibc detected double free or corruption" error). So I ran valgrind on it and attached the valgrind log to this bug.

Should this be reported to KDE or QT developers? Is it possibly a Firefox bug (though I would imagine that firefox might crash in that case)?

I am surprised that nobody else has encountered this as I often use drag-and-drop to move text when middle-click is inconvenient or doesn't work.

I can't seem to reproduce it in KDE 4.2.0. Maybe it has been fixed already.

If this is still an issue in KDE 4.2, please reopen the bug. As far as I can tell this is fixed in KDE 4.2.
