Bug Description
Binary package hint: konqueror
Using Kubuntu Hardy, I could use the konqueror web shortcut, and write both "gg: ubuntu", "GG: ubuntu" and "gG: ubuntu" in the location bar and get a google search for ubuntu.
However in Intrepid I get an error message that says:
protocol not supported
gg
if I write gG: ubuntu in the location bar.
So while the actual search for a match in the web shortcuts aren't case-insensitve, the error message uses the lowercase of the protocol. I suspect that this is caused by the switch from KDE3 to KDE4.

When I put "gg: ubuntu" into the adresbar it actually searches for "gg ubuntu" with ubuntu Jaunty. So I think this bug is now invalid at least for (K)ubuntu. Or do you still have problems with the latest version?
