Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase

When enabling "translucency / shadows" in "Window behavior" with default settings, focused windows will stay transparent if they have been minimized and then un-minimized again.

Steps to reproduce:

1) enable "use translucency / shadows" in KDE's "System Settings > Window Behavior > Translucency"
2) Apply.
3) Press "Alt + F2" and open "konsole"
4) Minimize konsole
5) un-minimize it (either click on it in the taskbar or using alt+tab)
6) The konsole window will now stay transparent, although it's focused.

current workaround:
1) Alt+Tab to focus another window
2) Alt+Tab back to the falsely transparent window. It will become opaque now.

Not a problem in Intrepid.

It seems that the problem does not always occur, so maybe it's not really fixed in Intrepid.
In order to verify, I've figured out that it seems to happen with knotes immediately:

1) open knotes
2) right-click and select "New Note"
3) write something into that note (e.g. "xxx")
4) close the note
5) open it again, by left-clicking on knotes icon in system-tray and select the note
6) Move the note (I'm usually using Alt+Left click, but dragging the titlebar also works)

-> the note will stay transparent now.

Since it doesn't always happen, it might not really be fixed in intrepid. Supplied another test to verify.

The effects code got a complete rewrite for KDE4. The old effects were buggy since they used fake transparency and hacky tricks.
But I tested with your instructions, and I can't reproduce the issue in Intrepid.
