konqueror cut and copy on contextual menu disabled

I am on kubuntu (kde4) intrepid x64.
When I right click on a file in konqueror, cut and copy are disabled, I can't clic on it.

If I use the drag and drop, no problem, all works, I can move or copy a file. Even if I use Copy To or Move To, if works. It is just the cut and copy menu items which are disabled.

If I open dolphin, no problem, with the same file, I can copy or cut them.

Not low. This makes it impossible to use konqueror with remote file locations via sftp and the like.

I don't seem to have this problem in konqueror 4.1.2 (virtualbox kubuntu intrepid) for local files

don't have a sftp account anywhere to check that but the original author has this problem also for local files it appears,
at least he doesn't specify it to be only for remote files

I have it for both. It's just a bigger issue for remote files since
copy-to won't work for those as an alternative.

I really don't think it's High importance. Default file manager is Dolphin, thus it can't be High because the expected amount of affected people is far too low, especially since you have to fiddle with the mimetype settings in order to change the default file manager.

Dolphin doesn't support my use case so is completely irrelevant to the bug.

Looks like a two line patch in 4.1.3 fixed it. JontheEchidna is looking at backporting the patch.

This bug was fixed in the package kdebase - 4:4.1.2-0ubuntu3
