kdm segfaults when used with xvnc

I am using an Xvnc terminal server type scenario to connect to a Kubuntu 5.10 linux box. With Kubuntu
5.04 this worked fine. With Kubuntu 5.10 this results in the error
Oct 18 07:49:21 sam kdm[7792]: Unknown session exit code 0 (sig 11) from manager process
in daemon.log and syslog.

xdmcp has been enabled in kdmrc and is listening:
root@sam:/# netstat -l | grep xdmcp
udp 0 0 *:xdmcp *:*

The Xvnc session is being started with (on display 2 for example):
/usr/bin/Xvnc :2 -desktop X -query localhost -once -httpd /usr/share/vnc/classes -ac -dpi 75 -depth 24
-geometry 640x480 -rfbwait 120000 -rfbport 5902

gdm works as expected.

This bug is pretty annoying, it ocassionaly also happens in usual X11
client/server environment. Even worse, it restarts X until the box crashes
(which looks like a kernel issue, but normaly the problem does not appear
because noone tries to start X 100x times).

The fix in the KDE BTS solves the later problem for me, see

I 'fixed' this bug by downgrading kdm to 4:3.4.2-0ubuntu2 found at the
kubuntu 5.10preview cdrom.

Is this bug still present in the latest Dapper packages?

If it is not, or if someone knows that this bug has been fixed by a subsequent upload, please let us know so we can close this. The last activity on this bug was over 6 months ago.

I think this bug can be closed. I'm running Kubuntu 6.06 and XDMCP works fine with KDM. I think this bug only existed in the KDE 3.4.x versions, all 3.5.x KDE versions should fix this problem.
