KDM will not start WM

KDM most current upgrade in Breezy will not start a window manager(either KDE or
GNOME). It leaves an error in .xsession-errors "No profiles for user "terry"
found".

I've got the same problem here, after update of Kubuntu Preview Release 1. There
only one way to load KDE: from GDM. I'll attach my .xsession-errors and kdmrc
files. If you need any other files appended to this bug report, please let me know.

Googling after this error, I've found a response for a problem with some Debian
users that mimics our problems:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-qt-kde/2004/08/msg00519.html . After reading this
message, I've start to look for

"/usr/share/apps/kdm/faces/.default.face"

that not exist on my system.

In order to do a small text, I've added a symlink to

/usr/share/apps/kdm/faces/.default.face -> ../pics/users/default1.png

and guess what? KDM back to work fine and loads any WM I want. I'll attach
daemon.log with messages prior to this ugly hack.

In the previous comment, where you read "small text", please read "small test".
(Mom always told me: not try this after few beers, its dangerous! :-) )

This file shows errors on kdm, where it's trying to load WM. After the hack
showed in comment #4, the message "Sep 16 23:53:04 jupiter2 kdm_greet[18961]:
Can't open default user face" stop to be logged.

I can't confirm this using the kdmrc in No 3, is it still an issue in final breezy?

I've did a clean install of final breezy and the problem is gone. KDM in Breezy
final is working fine.
