Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase

I put a USB drive in a USB connection, a dialog pops up "A new medium has been detected. What do you want to do?"

Select the first option "Open in a New Window", and press the OK button.

A dialog appears "xxx is a folder. But a file was expected"... a new window is not opened.

If you press ok, you can afterwards open the USB drive via the new icon that appears on the desktop.

I've got exactly the same, running Kubuntu hardy alpha5.

Same behaviour (of course) for USB HDs or USB keys.

Device notification is done differently in Intrepid/KDE4 so this shouldn't be a problem anymore.
