description |
Once the distribution is started for the very first time, if you launch konqueror as root (i.e.: using 'kdesu konqueror') instead of launch as normal user ('konqueror'), then your konqueror configuration file and (~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/konqueror.rc) and all the saved profiles (~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/profiles) will be saved with root privileges.
This means that all subsequent konqueror sessions (as normal user) will NOT save both configuration and profiles. Furthermore, Navigation Bar links will be lost.
Thank you

Suggested workaround: when using your distribution for the first time, DON'T launch konqueror as root for your very first time.
Thank you
