[ Gutsy/kdm]exit or restart from kdm with problems

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdm

exit may endup on black screen whereas restart leads to console status where a new Ctrl Alt Suppr maybe necessary to finish kdm and eventually resumes normal restart procedure.

Good morning,

I am trying to understand what is exactly happening with this bug. Can you please update this bug in a way that makes more sense. If I am reading this bug correctly, when you exit KDM it goes to a black scrren and when you do a restart things happening normally? Also are you still having problems with this bug? Can you please update the status of this bug?

This bug with kdm (KDE-3) no more shows-up and therefore has been fixed somehow.

I will now test kdm (KDE-4).
