konqueror stuck

Binary package hint: konqueror

while browsing an ftp site such as ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/
changing the encoding (under Tools -> Select remote charset) makes konqueror unresponsive.

konqueror does not recover and must be killed

Confirming; problem seems independent of ftp server or the selected charset.

Confirmed, it's been happening to me with all the kio_slaves I tried (webdav, fish, etc..)

Doesn't seem to be an issue with Konqueror 4.0.83 in Kubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid)
