Did you have experienced this issue also in previous version? Please provide the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf and attach the output of the command lspci -vvn. Thanks for your collaboration. I'm unable to reproduce in development version 7.10, but with high probability should be related with specific hardware. In my opinion this report is quite complete to be confirmed. At the moment, I don't think that kdebase is directly involved in this bug.
