Bug Description
Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace
Using HP nc6400 laptop plugged into 2 HP LP2065 monitors. I am unable to place monitors side by side. Mirroring monitors as well as positioning one monitor above or below the other works fine. I have been able to reproduce this on both Kubuntu 10.10 rc as well as ubuntu 10.10rc. Atempts to place monitors left of or right of results in a blank screen.

Hi Jesse,
What graphics hardware is your laptop running with? There is a bug 619663 that affects dual monitors on Intel graphics hardware, but looking up your HP nc6400 it looks like some have Radeons and some are Intel.
Can you add a /var/log/Xorg.0.log from a run when you are trying to put both monitors next to each other.
