Bug Description

Hi,I'm using kde 4.5.1 on kubuntu 10.04. When I tail -f .xsession-errors I get lots of

kwin(1442) KWin::checkGLError: GL error ( PostPaint ): "GL_INVALID_ENUM"

when overing the cursor on any application in the taskbar. So this is the full logging I get when doing it:

plasma-desktop(1492)/plasma StatusNotifierItemSource::refreshCallback: DBusMenu disabled for this application

After these lines it stops. It seems to be something with my video board, so...

I guess this could be mesa/X server, but it looks like it's kwin that's unhappy with it.

I wonder why these messages are printed though, that is debug output that should be off by default. You can check kdebugdialog to make sure debug messages are turned off. The message itself simply states that GL based desktop compositing cannot be done because your driver is not able to do what kwin would like it to.
