alt-tab switcher tries to correctly show browsers with extremely long titles, resulting in a skewed switcher dialog

Bug #568326 reported by Sandeep on 2010-04-22

kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

Take for example the following google search:

This results in a browser window with an extremely long title (the same as the query). After this, when you try to alt-tab, KDE shows a poorly formatted switcher dialog: in which the extremely long title is shown and ALL the other window titles (browser or otherwise) are shifted to the right, rendering them invisible... probably to accomodate the long title.

I am not able to get a screenshot, because I dont think I can screenshot with alt-tab

Hi there!

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.
