Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

I just finished installing Ubuntu Karmic Alpha 6. I noticed KDE was available in the login menu, so pick this to give it a try, there was no windows manager, and not many applications available. When I returned to Ubuntu, apport said an application crashed in KDE.

Note, this may be a one time error since I noticed I never have installed kubuntu-desktop, only some KDE applications. Perhaps this bug is more that if KDE is not fully installed then it should not be offered on the login menu, or instructions on installing the full KDE packages be shown if there isn't a working KDE desktop.
