Bug Description

Binary package hint: kde4

Kubuntu 9.10 Alpha 4

I want to switch to classic menu style. To do that I press on the right mouse button on the K menu, and click on "Switch to classic menu style".

It swithes, but at the same time it adds anohter K menu next to the available K menu, and pops up a warning window and says: "Do you really want to remove this Application Launcher?"

If I click "remove", the second K menu disappears, and everything goes normal. If I click cancel, the second K menu remains on the panel.

But when I want to switch back to "Kickoff menu style", everything goes normal.

Bug was reported upstream, but allegedly this is a result of a bad Kubuntu patch.

The patch in question is likely kubuntu_68_remove_applet_confirmation.diff. It appears to be disabled because "it's broken at the moment and doesn't apply properly with the new upstream release". Please do not restore it again and instead go upstream to get the feature in. A new build for karmic without the bug would also be appropriate.
