Bug Description

For multi key shortcuts in KDE, when the first character does not distinguish the shortcut the shortcuts get shifted down the options by one.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Create a series of multi key shortcuts to various menu items (the items chosen do not seem to matter):
- <WIN>R,S,S,H
- <WIN>R,W,W,1
- <WIN>R,W,W,2
- <WIN>R,W,W,3
- <WIN>R,H,M,E
- <WIN>R,O,F,C

2) save configuration.
3) attempt to launch <WIN>R,W,W,1. Shortcut will launch W,W,3

This appears to be a simple off by one error, but I am not familiar enough with KDE to know where to even look.

Yes it is still occurring in the current KDE 3.5.9 on Ubuntu 8.0.4. Since development has shifted focus to KDE4 though I do not expect this bug to be addressed.

If this is still an issue in KDE4 it has a chance of getting addressed. Is it still an issue in KDE4 if anybody would be willing to test?

You are closing the bug saying that you are missing information but fail to point out any missing information. This makes it fairly hard to provide.

I would be happy to test in KDE 4 however keyboard shortcuts in general are broken in the standard KDE 4.1 that is in Intrepid. More accurately khotkeys does not work in KDE 4.1 in general. KDE 4,2 restored support for custom hotkeys however, given that there is not any multikey hotkey support on the KDE 4,2 beta 2 release, I am at a loss on exactly how to test. If and when KDE 4,X offers multi-key shortcut support then we can test. If it proves to be broken I will either reopen this ticket or open a new one. For now though I can't test a feature that does not exist.
