Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

Crash happens repeatedly after choosing a newly installed network printer within "Printer Configuration" in systemsettings . No other symptoms.

I noticed that upstart does not start cups on my machine.
When manually starting cups, printer configuration and printing works again.
