Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdelibs5

When trying to download new plasmoids (KDE plasma widgets) using the "Install new widgets" -> "Download from the internet" option in the Add Widgets dialog, you get presented with a list of downloadable widgets. Selecting any of them does and then returning to the Add Widgets dialog does not present you with the just selected new plasmoids. This means that you still can not select or use the newly downloaded plasmoids, if they are actually being downloaded at all (no way to check this, I think).

The function to install plasmoids from the web therefore does not work. I would have expected the plasmoids selected in the Get Hot New Stuff dialog to be available in the Add Widgets dialog after closing the Get Hot New Stuff dialog.

Installed version: 4:4.1.0-0ubuntu1~hardy1

This feature doesn't work and won't work until we start seeing scripted plasmoids and kde-look filters the scripted plasmoids from the C++ plasmoids. In the meantime, this feature should be made inaccessible from Kubuntu.

KDE fixed this by separating the content at kde-look.org into two groups, scripted and binary plasmoids. Binary plasmoids don't show up on the list, as they cannot properly be installed. This does leave the installable widgets list to be rather bare, but that's not a bug. ;-)

A 'plasmoids not found' message should be more appropriated, instead of leaving the list blank without any signs of activity.
