Bug Description
Every time I log in, KDE Daemon displays a notification saying that updates are available. When I click the corresponding KDE Daemon icon in the System Tray, a long thin black rectangle appears, spanning both of my screens. It seems to be a window, as it appears in the Task Manager, has a window border down the left-hand side and can be moved if I drag the area where the title bar should be. If I snap it into place by dragging until my cursor touches a screen edge, I can see some text inside the window (screenshot attached).
The window has a heading saying: "Data files for some packages could not be downloadedName-
There is also this message: "The following packages requested additional data downloads after package installation, but the data could not be downloaded or could not be processed... ttf-mscorefonts
(Both of these are on the screenshot.)
I have tried to fix the issue by reinstalling ttf-mscorefonts
I am running Kubuntu 12.04 LTS. I don't know why ubuntu-bug has chosen kde4libs as the package, as 'apt-cache policy kde4libs' is unable to locate the package.

You can actually see what this box says if you drag the black window (I had to resize it first) to another desktop.
This is what it is:

Not ethe "Run this action" icon below. Which isn't in the prior posters screenshot.
Clicking "Run this action" brings up a terminal box with an error, and then I get a strange cursor and can't use the mouse anymore. I had to Ctrl-Alt-Backspace.
