date and time kcm offers autosync of time?

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

...even though this is already done at each connection in ubuntu via ifup scripts (AFAIK).
So this part of the kcm should either be stripped or mess with aforementioned scripts.

I should also note that this function has not worked for the past 3 releases anyways.

The feature works now after your latest round of fixes, though an evaluation is still required.

Well, the feature as presented gives the wrong idea. It does indeed not sync automatcially, but automatically ;) i.e. it will not run in background and sync subsequently, but set the time automatically at the time apply or ok gets clicked.

So, it is really just a GUI for ntpdate.

At the very least the labeling should explain this a bit clearer, at teh very best it should do this AND autosync time. I am not sure if latter can be implemented in a sane way, though I certainly should hope so, considering polkit-1.
