Icon problems after switching to cystal svg iconset

I recently upgraded from kubuntu 8.04.1 to 8.10 Beta. I switched the Icontheme to crystal svg.
Now the Icon for the Application Launcher Menu (ALM) is wrong.
See the attached Screenshot.
Also most of the Icons didn't change, e.g. in Konqueror.
Even in one Application icons from both sets appear (as in the ALM in the screenshot)

Confirmed in my upgrade from 8.04 to 8.10 final and also back in 8.04 when installing KDE4 packages.

I also have this problem, but would also like to add that the icons in the "Logoff/Lock" plasma widget also appear wrong.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

Meanwhile I removed my .kde directory, did a clean install of kubuntu 8.10 and by that resolved a lot of issues. The icon problem still persists however. I would really rather use the svg iconset. Yet the icons are often wrong, missing or the oxygen icons are used nevertheless. My system is up-to-date, as of today.
