Bug Description
Binary package hint: kde-guidance
With a fresh install of Herd 2 updated to the current versions, guidance power-manager consumes steadily increasing amounts of memory.
This is an a Dell Latitude L400. CPU scaling shows nothing, so that would tend to exhonorate that function.

Confirmed that Edgy does not have this problem (allee, ScootK).
Confirmed that Feisty Herd2 does not have this problem (Lure on Live CD)
So it is delta between Herd2 and Herd3, which can be:
- powermanager changes
- python 2.4 -> python 2.5 transition
- python-dbus 0.80 upgrade
