Bug Description

On hardy with latest kernel, kde-guidance-powermanager menu item for suspend does not work. Also, the sleep button on my usb keyboard, which used to work in gutsy, is non functioning in hardy. Also, the laptop sleep key combo (Fn-Esc) does not initiate suspend, and it used to work in gutsy.

It is possible to initiate sleep from the kde menu logout -> suspend and it works.

For hibernate, the kde-guidance-powermanager menu item for hibernate works.

Also, on the latest kernel update, kde-guidance-powermanager has lost the ability to monitor the two cpu states and consequently does not include an option to set Dynamic, Powersave or Performance anymore.

What happens if you run guidance-power-manager under sudo? I'm having massive problems after updating to Hardy to be totally honest...

Just confirming the same behaviour on my Hardy installation.

Using guidance-power-manager to supsend, or closing the lid has no effect. Suspend via logout menu works fine.
