Hi,
The problem is that kdbg < 2.2.2 does not play well with gdb 7.1 (I am guessing from your output that you were running that version of gdb) From the kdbg mailing list (http:// sourceforge. net/mailarchive /message. php?msg_ name=2010060922 16.01105. j6t%40kdbg. org):
KDbg Release Notes for version 2.2.2 ======= ======= ======= ======= =
=======
The 2.2.x series is still based on Qt 3 and KDE 3.
Changes since 2.2.1
-------------------
There is only one bug fix:
- An error message was shown instead of assembler code when gdb 7.1 was used.
I was having the exact trouble you described, so I upgraded to kdbg 2.2.2, and the problem was resolved.
