Bug Description
Binary package hint: kbarcode
See http://
I was able to produce this problem on my own with Gutsy Gibbon in early April, used Edgy Eft to work around it. But now Edgy Eft is end-of-lifed.
I was able to reproduce yet again with Hardy Heron. I downloaded the 2.0.7 sources and the compiling requirements (apt-get install build-essential xorg-dev kdebase-dev) and got the correct font sizing that way, although I wasn't able to remove all of the compiling requirements without breaking the barcode rendering.
If Hardy/Intrepid could upgrade from 2.0.6 to 2.0.7, that'd be very helpful. Sample kbarcode template demonstrating problem available upon request (I used Nimbus Roman 12pt).

I had this problem too on Kubuntu 8.04. I downloaded the latest sources (2.0.7) from www.kbarcode.net and did a dpkg-buildpackage against them. I no longer have the problem. Those who are interested the binary .deb can mail me antonv72 at gmail dot com. It would be nice if there was an upgrade to 2.0.7.
