kazam crashes frequently , has a hard time writing video recordings

In Ubuntu 22.04 kazam worked flawlessly
In Ubuntu 24.04 kazam , I spent 90 minutes trying to record a 10 minute capsule , it crashed multiple times and I had to disable wayland , , disabling wayland helped, not sure why wayland is used.

at first, black screen, when wayland was disabled, I was able to record about 3 seconds of video , but nothing longer than that.

lots of crashing for kazam, I loved kazam in 22.04 and miss it.
