Kazam creates mp4 file with black screen and no sound on playback with VLC

Ubuntu 22.04 using Wayland.
Kazam creates mp4 file with black screen and no sound on playback with VLC. It does it for a few seconds of recording or even much longer.
I used Firefox to play from:
