Kazam is not listing my microphone(s)

Bug Description

i have reproduced this on 2 systems, my laptop and my desktop
desktop has a M4A79XTD EVO motherboard with a Nvidia 550 TI GPU
laptop has a Intel C200 audio chip
the mic does work and can record with other software, kazam is simply not listing the audio device

also reproduced on the main ubuntu release, in a live session so i doubt this is a dependency issue

Hi, thanks for the bug report. Can you provide the PulseAudio device list? Open the terminal and run this command:

pactl list | grep -A2 'Source #'

This will list all the source devices on your system.

Also, make sure you plugin your microphone before you run Kazam.

Ok now i look like a idiot. that was my mic it was recording, the name just looks like my speakers...
maybe if it was named internal microphone line in volume control i would not look like a idiot right now XP

I just started using kazam on Ubuntu 16.04 and this bugs also shows up in my system (xps 15 9550)

I have the standard internal microphone, and also connected an USB logitech H360 headset, which is correctly detected and shows up with lsusb.

The headset (both microphone and speakers) are working correctly in the system and I can record with the headphone mic. However in the Kazam preferences window, only the internal devices are shown. As the initial poster experienced, kazam is simply not listing the audio device.
