Bug Description

Binary package hint: k3b

Unable to burn BD-R 'data' disk.
Add files up to just short of 23.3GB capacity that K3B read from the medium.

Burn never starts as the 'Please insert an empty medium of size 23.3Gb or larger' dialogue appears.

K3b's own 'Media Info' function correctly identifiers the blank as having 23.3Gb of space available.

Creating an ISO image then trying to use the burn ISO tool results in the same message.

Suspect underlying tool issue as other burning GUI's fail.

growisofs -Z burned the image, so not a hardware issue.

This has supposedly been fixed in the Alpha4 release. I tried downloading the Maverick package to test the fix but GDebi fails silently (as near as I can tell). Could we get the new version in the 10.4 repositories to see if it fixes the problem? Thanks!

Having the same problem. Posting to get updates on the bug. I also fail at the cmd line so I can't get growisofs -Z to burn it. Any other thoughts or apps?
