cannot burn mixed cd

K3b won't start burning if I try to create a mixed cd with data on the first or last track and fails after burning audio tracks if I select cd-extra mode (multisession) telling me the disc is empty or there aren't any multisession information.

This error still occurs on Gutsy (up to date 24-06-2007). I selected new mixed mode CD project. Added some mp3 audio tracks and some miscellaneous data files then clicked burn. Under the 'misc' tab I selected 'Data in second session (CD-extra)' and clicked Burn. All other settings were defaults.

k3b burns the first session successfully then ejects the CD. I get a message saying please reinsert CD and click OK. I did this and k3b returns an error 'Could not retrieve multisession information from disk'.

Also, could the incomplete cds be finished using another program? I tried to continue multisession, and it still fails.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect 49783 and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
