Bug Description

I'm working on figuring out the exact circumstance, but about every other time I try to burn a DVD-R with K3b, just as it finishes making the ISO image and is about to start burning, it aborts with this error:

:-( unable to pread64(2) primary volume descriptor: input/output error
Fatal error at startup: Illegal seek

If I just reinsert the DVD and try again, it always works, so far.

Here's another error I just got today. k3b finished burning a DVD and ejected it. When it was going to reload it to verify, I got this error message:

growisofs did not exit cleanly.

I think the more recent additions to this bug might be separate and are a duplicate of #31578, my bad

please check whether the original error (unable to pread64(2) primary volume descriptor: input/output error) still occurs in the new package
