Bug Description

Binary package hint: k3b

While trying to burn a dvd+r in k3b, the option to specify the write speed is ignored. For instance if I set it to 2.4x or 1x, k3b still tells me that it is writing at 4.10x, i.e. the top speed for my dvd writer. This is not a trivial problem because it means that people with poorly functioning dvd writers may not be able to back up their data.

Tried Brasero. Getting the same problem.

This appears to be a duplicate of bug 31768 - I'm marking it as such.
It's interesting that brasero has the same problem.
