J-Pilot still fails in Edgy

Bug Description

Binary package hint: jpilot

Using Sync since the Edgy update (and with ALL subsequent upgrades applied) still fails with J-Pilot reporting:

 Syncing on device /dev/ttyS0
 Press the HotSync button now
****************************************
dlp_ReadSysInfo error
Exiting with status SYNC_ERROR_PI_CONNECT
Finished

This was reported in bug #68815 in November 2006 but I cannot now find that bug.
