Using upgraded ubuntu hardy.

using "joystick calibration" from menu utilities no indication of movement of any axis until after calibration.
I use the joystick with x-plane which normally works fine and no need for calibration to function.
Joystick used under kernel 2.6.24-18 and -19. Working normally about three days ago
The logitech extreme 3d pro works in windows xp.
Have reinstalled hardy but no cure.
