jockey-backend crashed with SystemError: E:Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Am playing with USB-Flashdrive booting on Acer Aspire One. On reboot after allowing it to be persistant, the install icon was on top of the examples icon. In an attempt delete it I inadvertantly started the install. The crash came when I quit the install.
