Bug Description
When I upgraded to the 10.04 release candidate, the restricted drivers would not populate citing an issue downloading packages. I rebooted and allowed the notification regarding restricted hardware to show in the panel. At that point the Drivers populated but the broadcom sta would not install citing a network issue. This driver installed with no internet connection in prior releases including the 10.04 beta2.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/Bugs/ FindRightPackag e. I have classified this bug as a bug in jockey.
When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, either via the appropriate application's "Help -> Report a Problem" menu or using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/ReportingBu gs.
Could you also run 'apport-collect 569788' in a terminal? This will automatically collect debugging information about your system and add it to this report. You will need to give apport permission to at least change "Non-Private Information." You may also need to install python-launchpadlib for this to work properly.
