Nvidia install error

Today I make a fress install with Ubuntu 10.04 beta 2 and when I try to install Nvidia drivers from Hardware Drivers I just receive a error message "Install fail..."

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

I got the same error: Sorry, the installation of the driver failed. Please have a look at the log file for details: /var/log/jockey.log on Ubuntu 10.04 beta 2. More details such as jockey log file and some screen shots you can find in my bug report #560074, which I marked as duplicate of this bug.

it seems, that inspite of the error message during the installation the nvidia driver works on my PC. At least NVIDIA X Server Settings program says I use NVIDIA driver version 195.36.15. BUT Hardware Drivers writes "a different version of this driver is in use". After pressing the Activate button I got the same error message: Sorry, the installation of this driver failed. Please have a look at the log file for details.: /var/log/jockey.log. See screen shot.
