Bug Description

Binary package hint: jockey-kde

2 bugs
1) If I close with X in upper right corner - jockey-kde will crash
2) The first item is selected but not set current. Activate will then 'lock up' the dialog.

I might later find some duplicates on theses issues.

I hope this fix will reach the final Kubuntu 10.04.

Could you post a patch based off jockey trunk please? https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~jockey-hackers/jockey/trunk
The file you posted is quite outdated, and I can't seem to find your changes out of all the changes in the past few months.

I can see that one of the problems was fixed in
582.1.2 self.mw.treeview_drivers.setCurrentItem(cur_item)
(It was just select before)

My other fix is just a connect
(self.mw.connect(self.mw,SIGNAL('rejected()'),self.on_buttonBox_rejected)
since we do not want to have a crash if the user tries to close by clicking X (in the right corner)

I am going to post a patchfile against the trunk in two seconds.

Committed to trunk, thanks. Waiting on a core-dev to backport the fix with the next bugfix update.

  * Do not check that the module is loaded in enabled() in the nvidia
handler, as this is what we should do in used(). Just make sure
that the module and its alias are not blacklisted. This prevents
Jockey from claiming that the installation of nvidia driver failed
when when it didn't (LP: #552653).

  * Don't crash when closed with the "x" button (LP: #552723, LP: #398912).
    Thanks ThorbjørnTux!
