Bug Description

I installed Ubuntu 8.04, then installed all the upgrades to bring it up to date. After that, I installed the Nvidia Hardware Driver, then ran "update-manager -d" to upgrade to Lucid. After the upgrade completed, I can not install the hardware drivers because jockey won't authenticate. Entering my password to authenticate results in the password box disappearing from the authenticate screen. Unfortunately, the authenticate screen does not go away and Jockey refuses to install the nvidia-current driver.

I am closing this because it has been fixed in the final version of Ubuntu 10.04. It is now allowing authentication as expected.
