Bug Description

* Object: Building Old PC system for student use.

* Have: Knoppix 6.2 Live CD (latest) and Ubuntu 9.2 Live CD (latest).

* Plan:
I planned to format/partition, then install a Linux system to HD.
Prefer Ubuntu, but grabbed wrong CD. OK, just for Student Use.

 (1) Loaded Knoppix Live CD.
I planned to format/partition, then install to HD.
 "System Testing" exe reports bad sectors.
Ran "gPartEd" to format/partition. Mabe "gPartEd" did not mark out bad sectors.
Installed Knoppix to HD, which failed to boot.

(2) Loaded Ubuntu Live CD.
I planned to format/partition, then install to HD.
Ran "gPartEd", showed partitions OK, then failed.
Error report automatically generated.
Ran "System Test", again.
