Bug Description

Contrary to the documentation ( https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/MSIMegabookGX700 ), on my MSI GX700 notebook, the NVIDIA card was not automatically detected. It took me a while to find out that this is why TV using a DVB-T stick had a very instable image.
After installing the NVIDIA drivers, everything was fine.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and trying to help make Ubuntu better. However, third party packages are not installed by default in Ubuntu

Should this bug marked as invalid?

The nvidia drivers are not a dependency of ubuntu-desktop package or of joykey, so it is normal that the NVIDIA driver is not installed automatically.

Are you using a normal install of Ubuntu or an OEM-install?

Changed in jockey (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete

I am using the normal kubuntu distribution.
The only reason I believed the NVIDIA driver is installed automatically was
the documentation in
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/MSIMegabookGX700
