Can't install proprietary ATi driver on imac using ibex beta

Bug Description

Hi,

I can't install the proprietary ATi drivers using the 'Proprietary Hardware Manager' GUI. This driver is usually listed here and when installed means that I can enable 3d effects (wobbly windows, etc). Currently, only one driver is listed in the hardware manager - Broadcom STA Wireless Driver, although I had to update the system to get this.

I'm using a 24inch Intel iMac 2.4Ghz Dual Core.
I'm using the Beta version of Ibex (downloaded today - 03/10/08)

I had a look at my xorg.conf and it seems very empty!!! Please see attached for more details.
