Bug Description

Fresh install Kubuntu Remix 8.04.1 - Hardware drivers pops up after install to ask to install proprietary nvidia driver, I say yes, then proceeds to tell me it can't do it because it's not root. Then why did it bother popping up to ask me? It's almost rude. Should ask me to enter my password instead of just telling me it can't do it.

Thank you for reporting this bug. It's fairly complete, it just needs to be confirmed. I would like to know if it happens every time the program pops up and what the version of jockey-kde is installed -- i.e. the output of apt-cache policy jockey-kde.

Furthermore I want to ask other people if they can confirm this bug too.
