Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-restricted-modules

Description: Ubuntu hardy (development branch)
Release: 8.04

apt-cache policy nvidia-glx-new
nvidia-glx-new:
  Installed: 169.12+2.6.24.12-16.34
apt-cache policy linux-restricted-modules-`uname -r`
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24-16-generic:
  Installed: 2.6.24.12-16.34

Nvidia GeForce 6800Go
1440*900 Laptop Display

Instead of launching desktop, i get error on low graphics mode,
I tried to enable higher resolution in "Screen&Graphics"
And display and driver weren't recognized.

Then running sudo jockey-gtk: No restricted drivers are used on this computer
WARNING: modinfo for module fglrx failed: modinfo: could not find module fglrx

WARNING: modinfo for module nvidia_new failed: modinfo: could not find module nvidia_new

WARNING: modinfo for module nvidia failed: modinfo: could not find module nvidia

WARNING: modinfo for module nvidia_legacy failed: modinfo: could not find module nvidia_legacy

WARNING: modinfo for module nvidia_new failed: modinfo: could not find module nvidia_new

Then checking loaded modules, lsmod |grep nvidia
Result, nothing.

syslogd & klogd are turned off so takes time to give output on those.

Running 'sudo depmod' seems to have fixed it.
