Bug Description

I've only experienced this problem trying to use rhino. Basically, hitting Backspace or Left Arrow jumps the cursor several characters to the left and the screen becomes unreadable. This was not a problem in Jaunty, the only other distro I've tested for this bug. It's definitely a problem with libjline-java (1.0-1), since if I remove libjline-java from the rhino JAVA_CLASSPATH the problem disappears.

I forgot to add that the problem is reproducable on several different Ubuntu Precise (12.04) amd64 machines -- every one that I tried.
