2009-10-25 21:53:36 Stefan Ebner description Binary package hint: jhbuild The current version of jhbuild is 0.0.svn.r1378-1 in hardy, intrepid, jaunty and karmic. The latest revision in SVN is revision 2802, and that was four months ago. GNOME doesn't even use SVN anymore. A lot of bugs have been fixed since then and obviously a lot of features have been added as well. Bug #342861 cannot be solved without upgrading to a newer version. The latest version in Debian unstable is 0.0.svn.r1378-1 as well, but considering the fact that this is an important development tool for GNOME and could help a lot with making testing the latest code easier I think we should package it on our own. If we want to help and encourage GNOME development we should at least provide the right tools. As you can see at its Git page -- <http://git.gnome.org/cgit/jhbuild/> -- tags are there for 2.27 versions, which means it's going to be released with 2.28. We should include this (upcoming) stable version, rather than an old development snapshot.
